These tilapia chicks are in a shallow pond about 10cm - 50cm deep. So it is very clear that they swim chasing each other. deliberately the pond for tilapia fish puppies is made shallow, because tilapia fish puppies really like shallow ponds.

Sunlight can enter the shallow bottom of the pond, making the fish love it, as if they want to sunbathe. In addition, shallow pond areas usually grow a lot of moss and are breeding grounds for small animals such as mosquitoes and other insects, making it easy for tilapia fingerlings to find food in shallow ponds.

However, shallow ponds have a disadvantage for tilapia fingerlings, which is that it will be easier for predatory animals (such as birds) to catch tilapia fingerlings, because they will be clearly visible from outside the water.
